Specific products to sell
Pick one of these, not the whole niche. Numbers are our estimates for one item.
A typical product here: Camper screen door latch
Where each $8.50 sale goes
One sale ties up the printer for about 1.4 hours. $4.21 ÷ 1.4 h = $3.00 per print hour.
At the mid price, if it sells. Shipping not included.
Why it can work
- Active owner forums for every brand give free targeted marketing
- Discontinued models leave owners with no official part
- Parts are small and ship cheaply
Why it might fail
- Low price ceiling on most clips
- Heat in a parked RV demands ASA or similar
- Each model fits few buyers
Be aware before you sell
Several free RV files exist, so check each licence or draw your own part from a measured sample. Brand names such as Dometic and Jayco should appear only as 'fits' wording. Etsy asks for your own original design, so a licensed file may not qualify.
How to get a file you may sell
- Make your own. Tinkercad is free and enough for simple shapes.
- Buy a commercial licence. Many designers on Cults3D, MyMiniFactory and Etsy sell one. Read what it allows.
- Use open licences. CC0 and CC BY allow selling prints. NC does not. Filter by licence on Printables or MakerWorld and keep a screenshot.

Our take
Owners are vocal about overpriced plastic parts, yet the price they compare against is only $5 to $12 and many own printers or know someone who does. It works as a small catalogue in ASA or PETG with heat-rated claims, and it fails if PLA parts warp in a hot camper.
How the score adds up
The score is our estimate from public prices and signals, not sales data. Evidence confidence: low.
Competition
Mainstream RV parts retailers cover common latches, and a few eBay stores sell clips, but printed-only specialists looked rare.
