Why it can work

  • Strong public demand signals
  • Low brand or licence risk if the design is your own

Why it might fail

  • Crowded market, so prices can fall fast
  • Under $2 estimated profit per print hour

Be aware before you sell

Design your own or confirm the file allows selling prints, because free files on Printables and MakerWorld were not checked. A plain stand has no character content, though PSA, CGC and Beckett are company names that should only describe fit. Etsy asks for your own original design, so a licensed file may not qualify.

How to get a file you may sell

  1. Make your own. Tinkercad is free and enough for simple shapes.
  2. Buy a commercial licence. Many designers on Cults3D, MyMiniFactory and Etsy sell one. Read what it allows.
  3. Use open licences. CC0 and CC BY allow selling prints. NC does not. Filter by licence on Printables or MakerWorld and keep a screenshot.

Our take

This has the best cart signals in the category and very fast prints, but prices start under $2. It works as multi-packs and multi-slab wall or tower displays, and fails as single stands that lose money after shipping.

How the score adds up
Profit per print hour5/30

Low legal risk15/15
Evidence quality6/10

The score is our estimate from public prices and signals, not sales data. Evidence confidence: medium.

Competition

Public signals suggest high competition.

Make it your own
  • Design for one game format, not one franchise
  • Use your own creature or theme, never a brand name
  • Sell it finished and painted at a higher price

Use these for research. Check each licence and never assume you may sell a print. Search links show live results.
