Specific products to sell

Pick one of these, not the whole niche. Numbers are our estimates for one item.

Where each $12.50 sale goes

Filament, power, your time $4.03Marketplace fees $1.12Left from this sale $1.86

One sale ties up the printer for about 0.75 hours. $1.86 ÷ 0.75 h = $2.48 per print hour.

At the mid price, if it sells. Shipping not included.

Why it can work

  • Custom sizes and colours match a shop brand
  • Low material use
  • Business buyers order multiples

Why it might fail

  • Bulk acrylic is cheap
  • Layer lines look unprofessional at retail
  • No printed seller with prices was found

Be aware before you sell

MakerWorld price tag files were not confirmed for commercial printing. No obvious IP issue unless a customer supplies a logo they do not own. Etsy asks for your own original design, so a licensed file may not qualify.

How to get a file you may sell

  1. Make your own. Tinkercad is free and enough for simple shapes.
  2. Buy a commercial licence. Many designers on Cults3D, MyMiniFactory and Etsy sell one. Read what it allows.
  3. Use open licences. CC0 and CC BY allow selling prints. NC does not. Filter by licence on Printables or MakerWorld and keep a screenshot.

Our take

Acrylic holders sell at under $6 each in bulk and look more professional, so a printed version loses on both price and finish. It only works as a fully branded set for one shop, sold locally as a small custom job.

Competition

Established display suppliers dominate with cheap acrylic and plastic, so it is crowded by non-printed products.

Make it your own
  • Solve one specific problem better than generic listings
  • Test one original design before making more
