Why it can work
- Limited positive evidence so far
Why it might fail
- Listing words such as Imperial or Militarum sit close to Games Workshop's terms, and the company's reported 2025 action covered sellers on Etsy and eBay, so iconography and wording are the danger more than a ruined wall itself
- No reliable public price found
Be aware before you sell
Check the file's merchant terms, remove all Warhammer iconography and wording, and do not treat 'compatible' as a safe label. Listing words such as Imperial or Militarum sit close to Games Workshop's terms, and the company's reported 2025 action covered sellers on Etsy and eBay, so iconography and wording are the danger more than a ruined wall itself. Etsy asks for your own original design, so a licensed file may not qualify.
How to get a file you may sell
- Make your own. Tinkercad is free and enough for simple shapes.
- Buy a commercial licence. Many designers on Cults3D, MyMiniFactory and Etsy sell one. Read what it allows.
- Use open licences. CC0 and CC BY allow selling prints. NC does not. Filter by licence on Printables or MakerWorld and keep a screenshot.

Our take
eBay prices seen were GBP 10 to 24 for single unpainted kits, so the product is real, but its whole selling point is matching a brand known to enforce. Plain ruins with no iconography are safer, and those belong in the generic terrain group.
Competition
Public signals suggest medium competition.

Make it your own
- Design for one game format, not one franchise
- Use your own creature or theme, never a brand name
- Sell it finished and painted at a higher price
