Why it can work
- Small part with a high comparable price
- Fits gear people already own
Why it might fail
- Each lantern model needs its own fit
- No confirmed printed sales
- Niche audience
Be aware before you sell
Printable shades need a licence check, and no finished printed listing was confirmed. Goal Zero and Ledlenser are trademarks, so use fit wording only and avoid logos. Etsy asks for your own original design, so a licensed file may not qualify.
How to get a file you may sell
- Make your own. Tinkercad is free and enough for simple shapes.
- Buy a commercial licence. Many designers on Cults3D, MyMiniFactory and Etsy sell one. Read what it allows.
- Use open licences. CC0 and CC BY allow selling prints. NC does not. Filter by licence on Printables or MakerWorld and keep a screenshot.

Our take
A silicone shade at that price suggests buyers pay well for a small upgrade to a lantern they already own. It works only if demand can be proven cheaply with one or two lantern fits, and no printed sales were found.
Competition
A few silicone and accessory brands sell shades, and printed sellers could not be confirmed.
