Specific products to sell

A typical product here: Half frame film holder
Where each $38.50 sale goes
One sale ties up the printer for about 4 hours. $38.20 ÷ 4 h = $9.55 per print hour.
At the mid price, if it sells. Shipping not included.
Why it can work
- Commercial printed carriers already sell near $79
- Rare formats are poorly served
- Film hobbyists are growing and vocal online
Why it might fail
- Scratching film would ruin trust
- Flatness needs careful design and testing
- Free files serve the DIY crowd
Be aware before you sell
Printable holders exist on MakerWorld and elsewhere, so check the licence on each. Design your own carrier and do not copy Valoi or Negative Supply shapes or names. Etsy asks for your own original design, so a licensed file may not qualify.
How to get a file you may sell
- Make your own. Tinkercad is free and enough for simple shapes.
- Buy a commercial licence. Many designers on Cults3D, MyMiniFactory and Etsy sell one. Read what it allows.
- Use open licences. CC0 and CC BY allow selling prints. NC does not. Filter by licence on Printables or MakerWorld and keep a screenshot.

Our take
Leading brands already print these and charge $79 to $273 per system, which leaves room below them at $30 to $50. It works with flatness, light tightness and rare formats such as 110, 127 and half frame, and it fails if film scratches or bows in the carrier.
How the score adds up
The score is our estimate from public prices and signals, not sales data. Evidence confidence: medium.
Competition
Valoi and Negative Supply lead, with a few small makers below them, so it is contested but not crowded.
- M135 Micro 35mm film carrier Web shop $31.00
- Negative Supply Basic Film Carrier 35 Web shop about $79
Make it your own
- Solve one specific problem better than generic listings
- Test one original design before making more
- Show a real photo and honest measurements
