Why it can work
- Saves time on repeat electrical work
- Region-specific box sizes leave gaps
- A paid jig sells for over GBP 60
Why it might fail
- Printed plastic wears against saws and drills
- Branded jigs are trusted on site
- Free files already cover the idea
Be aware before you sell
The parametric MakerWorld template's page includes a clause against selling printed versions, so draw your own. Little brand risk if you avoid copying the shape and name of a branded jig. Etsy asks for your own original design, so a licensed file may not qualify.
How to get a file you may sell
- Make your own. Tinkercad is free and enough for simple shapes.
- Buy a commercial licence. Many designers on Cults3D, MyMiniFactory and Etsy sell one. Read what it allows.
- Use open licences. CC0 and CC BY allow selling prints. NC does not. Filter by licence on Printables or MakerWorld and keep a screenshot.

Our take
No printed template with a retail price was found, so the price field stays empty and demand is unproven. A durable branded jig with a level already exists, and a plastic template wears against saws, so this only works as a custom job for one contractor.
Competition
Branded jigs from Wolfcraft and others plus free MakerWorld files cover it, and no printed retail sellers appeared.
