A typical product here: Infinity cube fidget
Where each $9.50 sale goes
One sale ties up the printer for about 2.4 hours. $4.16 ÷ 2.4 h = $1.73 per print hour.
At the mid price, if it sells. Shipping not included.
Why it can work
- Low brand or licence risk if the design is your own
Why it might fail
- Crowded market, so prices can fall fast
- Under $2 estimated profit per print hour
Be aware before you sell
CGTrader's free cube is under a custom licence, so read each file's terms before selling prints. The infinity cube is a generic format, so the risk sits in copying a specific designer's file. Etsy asks for your own original design, so a licensed file may not qualify.
How to get a file you may sell
- Make your own. Tinkercad is free and enough for simple shapes.
- Buy a commercial licence. Many designers on Cults3D, MyMiniFactory and Etsy sell one. Read what it allows.
- Use open licences. CC0 and CC BY allow selling prints. NC does not. Filter by licence on Printables or MakerWorld and keep a screenshot.

Our take
This is a commodity with free files and sale prices as low as $3.34, against 1 to 4 hours of print time. A two-pack bundle at $12.99 is about the best price seen, so it only works as a cheap add-on.
How the score adds up
The score is our estimate from public prices and signals, not sales data. Evidence confidence: medium.
Competition
Public signals suggest high competition.
Make it your own
- Give it your own character and name
- Bundle it as a party or mystery pack at a fair unit price
- Check toy safety rules before selling to children
