Why it can work
- Limited positive evidence so far
Why it might fail
- A PS5 faceplate seller cancelled orders in 2020 after reported legal action from Sony, so avoid faceplate parts and PlayStation marks
- Thin public evidence, so treat these numbers with care
- No reliable public price found
Be aware before you sell
Files were not checked, and a seller also carries liability if a printed mount fails. A PS5 faceplate seller cancelled orders in 2020 after reported legal action from Sony, so avoid faceplate parts and PlayStation marks. Etsy asks for your own original design, so a licensed file may not qualify.
How to get a file you may sell
- Make your own. Tinkercad is free and enough for simple shapes.
- Buy a commercial licence. Many designers on Cults3D, MyMiniFactory and Etsy sell one. Read what it allows.
- Use open licences. CC0 and CC BY allow selling prints. NC does not. Filter by licence on Printables or MakerWorld and keep a screenshot.

Our take
A plastic part holding an expensive console is a real damage risk, and no printed price was confirmed. Non-printed mounts on Etsy UK run about £15 to £39, so it is hard to beat them on trust.
Make it your own
- Fit it to one device or desk setup people search for
- Add a useful extra, like a cable slot or hidden storage
- Offer colour pairs that match popular setups
