Be aware before you sell
Do not use a listing photo or plan without permission from the agent or owner. House plans can be protected by the architect's copyright, so get the owner's permission and do not reuse plans. Etsy asks for your own original design, so a licensed file may not qualify.
How to get a file you may sell
- Make your own. Tinkercad is free and enough for simple shapes.
- Buy a commercial licence. Many designers on Cults3D, MyMiniFactory and Etsy sell one. Read what it allows.
- Use open licences. CC0 and CC BY allow selling prints. NC does not. Filter by licence on Printables or MakerWorld and keep a screenshot.

Our take
Ticket prices are high, yet the $500 to $1,200 figure comes partly from a vendor pitch and the real cost is preparing the CAD, which one EU project put at several weeks and thousands of euros when done by hand. It works with a repeatable floor-plan workflow for a few local builders, and it fails with one-off houses modelled from scratch.
