Why it can work
- Low brand or licence risk if the design is your own
- Seasonal demand: Spring and summer wedding season
Why it might fail
- Crowded market, so prices can fall fast
- Thin public evidence, so treat these numbers with care
- No reliable public price found
Be aware before you sell
A parametric model under a Standard Digital File License may not allow selling prints, so check its terms first. Names carry little IP risk, and only the script font needs checking. Etsy asks for your own original design, so a licensed file may not qualify.
How to get a file you may sell
- Make your own. Tinkercad is free and enough for simple shapes.
- Buy a commercial licence. Many designers on Cults3D, MyMiniFactory and Etsy sell one. Read what it allows.
- Use open licences. CC0 and CC BY allow selling prints. NC does not. Filter by licence on Printables or MakerWorld and keep a screenshot.

Our take
No printed listing with a price turned up, and paper cards at $2.60 per 10 plus laser-cut names set a very low bar. Sorting and printing 80 unique names only pays if the couple treats them as a premium keepsake.
Competition
Public signals suggest high competition.

Make it your own
- Add a name, date or message buyers cannot get off the shelf
- Pick one occasion and style, not a general gift
- Package it ready to give, with a small card
